I had only a week’s notice for a work trip to Brasil, and having never been to S. America before I wanted to do some sightseeing – but had no time to plan anything. A friend recommended Daniela who insisted on phone interviewing me before helping me – somehow I immediately knew I was in good hands. I decided on Florianopolis and the trip was fabulous. Daniela had everything organised and it all went smoothly. My favourite bit was seeing a HUGE turtle while snorkelling off one of the many islands that surround Florianopolis. And of course everyone I met was nice beyond description and I ended up with 4 or 5 friends (ok, FaceBook friends). Oh, and I should mention that I live in Sydney and Daniela went way-way-way out of her way to accommodate my time zone.

We had a great time on the trip, and (once we got there – the blizzard was a doozy!) things went really smoothly. We enjoyed our guide, and it was really great to have the same person throughout our time in Rio. Your restaurant recommendations were wonderful – from Olympe to the Braz pizza place, so yummy and some really great service. The Orla was a little bit of a step down from the Marriott but serviceable enough and the location was great. Pestana was really beautiful, and the staff was super friendly. On the Pestana side, it would have been helpful to have had our guide stop by a grocery store so we could by bottled water since it ended up adding up. Maybe something worth suggesting to future travelers!
